vision & challenges:
- create a sophisticated master bedroom and ensuite for this artistic "empty nest" couple
design solutions:
- created drama with combination of dark walls and oak flooring contrasting with organic motif bedding and clients own artwork above the bed
- designed full size walk–in closet with his/hers built in cabinets
- transformed standard three piece bathroom into a sleek ensuite with clean lines and dramatic black and misty grey finishes; heated floors lead into large open walk-in shower complete with rain shower head and handheld spray, and natural river rock flooring
- installed new bathroom wall cabinetry to provide ample storage and open display space
- created new guest bath complete with soaker tub and vanity for luxury
- continued overall theme from master bedroom with use of black stained wood flooring in main living space
- accented neutral colour scheme with sparkling stainless steel fireplace surround and bold chili–pepper, red wall
