COMMERCIAL RENOVATIONS
The big question with commercial renovations is "when can we open/ re-open" so the focus is on getting our workers in getting the work done and clearing the team out. The days are long and intense and the motto here is "done once and out". On our last commercial renovation we had a team of 28 workers putting in 14 hour days for 4 days straight.
The design focus on commercial renovations is generally all about "appearance to the customer" with a shorter term life expectancy. Residential renovations are typically based on a 15 20 year life expectancy commercial is 5 10 years.
The usage is also different since commercial is used continually for 5 7 days a week by a large number of customers. Materials on these renovations need to be:
- durable
- functional
- purposeful
- quickly repairable
